Drop festoon: each light hangs from the main cable

In this outdoor festoon the lights are not on the main cable: they hang from it. Each drop leaves the cable through a T-connector and carries its own lampholder and bulb. You choose the cable colour, the length and how many drops; we add the plug and one T-connector per light.

What it includes and what each part is for

  • Outdoor fabric cable In 7 colours, by the metre. Count the main cable and the drops: up to 25 m in one run.
  • T-connectors They branch each drop off the main cable. One per lampholder, in white or black.
  • Lampholders Outdoor IP65, several models. Each one is a drop; we suggest one every 80 cm.
  • Bulbs One per lampholder. If you already have them, choose «I already have bulbs».
  • Plug and support We always add the outdoor plug. The support holds the other end on the wall or ceiling.
  • Socket Optional: weatherproof, with or without a switch, to plug the festoon in outdoors.

You do not have to work anything out: the configurator counts these parts for what you choose.

How it goes together

  1. Decide where the festoon will run, how many drops you want and how long, then add up the length of the main cable and the drops.
  2. Fit the plug to the start of the cable.
  3. Fit a T-connector wherever you want a drop and connect the drop cable to it.
  4. Fit a lampholder to the end of each drop.
  5. Fix the support to the wall or ceiling, secure the end of the cable, screw in the bulbs and plug the festoon in.

Always unplug the festoon before assembling or moving it. If you are unsure about the electrical installation, ask an electrician to check it.

How many metres should I enter?

The main cable plus all the drops, up to 25 m in one run.

How many drops can I have?

As many as you like: each lampholder is a drop with its own T-connector. We suggest one every 80 cm, and you can change the number.

What is the T-connector?

The T-piece that branches a drop off the main cable. We add one per lampholder; you only choose the colour.

Do I need the socket?

Only if you have no outdoor socket nearby. It is weatherproof, and there is one with a switch to turn the festoon on and off.
